Like the first explorers of Quebec, discover this majestic valley by canoe. This fast boat is very suitable for exploring lakes and rivers and has a large loading capacity.
This canoe trip will allow you to discover the Jacques-Cartier National Park by going down the river and introducing you to the canoe.
You can take our shuttle bus from Old Quebec City or join your guide directly to the Jacques Cartier National Park. After having recovered all the necessary equipment for the expedition, your guide will transport you upstream to begin your adventure.
The descent of the Jacques-Cartier River alternates quiet and fast section with some portages depending on the water level. When you arrive at the camp, your guide will take care of cooking you a delicious meal and you will enjoy the view of the mountains and the river by the fire.
DAY 1: Transportation and hike
Departure from Quebec City in the morning at 9am from the Infotourist Center to the Jacques-Cartier National Park or go directly to the nautical center of the park. You will be free to hike the trails in the park and we will provide you a map and your lunch.
Around 4pm, go to the reception tipi of Quatre Natures to join your guide. He will give you all the necessary equipment for your adventure then you will go upstream of the park by bus to reach the campsite and starting point on the river.

DAY 2: Canoeing
After a good lunch, it’s time to board your canoe. Your guide will begin to introduce you to boating techniques and teach you how to load your canoe.
Then we left for the descent of the river to our campsite to spend the night.

DAY 3: Canoeing and return
After a good lunch, it’s time to board your canoe and descend the second half of the river to reach the end of the canoe section of the park. Back in the afternoon to the nautical center to store the equipment and then return to Quebec City by bus.

Equipment and food
Group equipment and food will be shared between participants’canoes and guides. If you use your own equipment, we will check with you if everything is complete.

We think there is no bad weather for canoeing. The activity always takes place. In case of situation with a lot of rain, risk of thunderstorms or too much flow, the activity can be transferred.
The final decision to cancel in case of bad weather is the responsibility of the guide or the administration of Quatre Natures.
When booking, the total amount of the invoice must be paid. You must make your payment by credit card (VISA, MasterCard or American Express). You have the possibility to take a cancellation insurance to be refunded of the total amount of your order in case of cancellation on your part.
Cancellation insurance: When booking, you can take a cancellation insurance at the cost of 3% of your order. This allows the refund of the total amount of the activity except the portion of the insurance itself if you cancel your activity. Without cancellation insurance, no refund is granted except for major reasons with official proof.
Modification of a reservation: Any modification must be made by phone or email and is subject to availability.
