During our adventure, we will be immersed in a dreamlike setting: thousands of islands, century-old pines shaped by the wind, and hidden coves just waiting to be discovered. Every paddle stroke will bring us closer to this wild nature that captivates and amazes.
We will begin our journey in the Britt/Byng Inlet area, an ideal starting point to explore the splendor of the northern Georgian Bay. Our route will lead us northwest, along this coastline that is part of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserves, a perfect playground for nature lovers and adventurers alike.
As we paddle along, we will have the opportunity to navigate around the Churchill, Cunningham, Roger Islands, and other hidden treasures. We will also stop at a historic site, at the mouth of the delta of the famous Rivière des Français. This place, rich in history, evokes the days of the voyageurs and fur traders during the heyday of the fur trade, and you will be amazed by all that these landscapes have to tell.
And as we soak in this natural beauty, you’ll quickly understand why Georgian Bay has captured the hearts of some of the Group of Seven painters. Their paintings immortalize this nature in such splendor, so rich in color and emotion. Every moment spent here is an invitation to contemplation and awe, a true return to the roots.
